Following on from the success of the Blaze 94, Vokl have made a wider version, the Blaze 106. Like the Blaze 94, the 106 is a light, agile powder ski that is constructed with maneuverability rather than brute force in mind. The result is a ski with plenty of width for powder days with a playful character, a ski that's really good fun whatever the conditions offpiste. The Blaze 106 is built with a thin Titanal Binding Platform underfoot that harnesses power with little effort, creating playful yet dynamic turns with immediate turn initiation. The full length Hybrid Multilayer Woodcore and overall design target short-turn-oriented skiers, but the sidecut’s three radius technology adapts to most every riding style. With the addition of the Suspension Tip, a rubbery, shock-absorbing material on the tip and tail edges, the Blaze 106 rides high through pow, crud and wind buffed snow with playful power. In narrow terrain and/or varibale snow conditions reaction time is impressive, especially for a powder-width ski. As well as being very capable resort skis, the Blaze 106 also works very well as freeride touring skis because of their lightweight, yet powerful nature.
